The Oregon State University Libraries are seeking applicants for the position of Department Head for the Special Collections and Archives Research Center. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position and also a tenured administrator position.

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited institution or a foreign equivalent; or terminal degree in a related field.
• Significant record of achievement that merits appointment as tenured Associate or Full Professor in the OSU Libraries. A significant record of achievement is a demonstrated record of engagement with the professional community, including scholarship and service.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams, committees or workgroups with duties including but not limited to planning, prioritizing, and goal-setting efforts.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating across organizational boundaries and working with complex stakeholder groups to move projects forward.
• Demonstrated experience supervising employees, may include: hiring, training, developing, evaluating, coaching, or mentoring.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering the broadest appropriate access to cultural heritage materials.
• Demonstrated experience in and vision for building a diverse, inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist culture in professional organizations.
• Ability to facilitate the development of a collaborative vision for a university archives and special collections, and to provide leadership to implement the vision.
Summary of Position Duties:
• 40% Administration of the Special Collections and Archives Research Center
• 25% Advocacy and Collaboration
• 25% Supervision
• 10% Service
