The SSD Gateways Scholarship

The purpose of the SSD Gateways scholarship is to provide the means for Oregon library support staff working in libraries with limited funding to attend the Support Staff Division conference and engage in professional development and networking with their peers.

For 2024, we want to send support staff to the OLA Conference, emphasis on Salem area library staff who would otherwise not be able to attend.

•     Awarding one scholarship for the registration fees of non-members to attend an SSD Conference.

•     Awarding two scholarships for the registration fees of OLA members to attend an SSD Conference.

Application Process
Email your request to [email protected] at least 4 weeks prior to the event you would like to attend and/or participate in.

When applying for this scholarship please keep the following points in mind.

• A detailed budget of expected expenses.

• A narrative statement describing your goals for personal growth and career developments and how the program you plan to attend supports those goals.
